This weekend I went to go see Shrek 3. I had seen the first two when they came out in the theaters before, so it seemed kind of necessary to see the continuation of the story. I went to a 10:20 PM showing to avoid screaming kids (not that I don't like kids, but there's something a little more enjoyable about watching a movie without your seat being kicked and crying babies).

I was a bit disappointed. Maybe I just remembered the other two more fondly. It was okay and generally cute, but I just didn't think it was extraordinary. The critics said it was more "adult" than the others but I don't know if I agree with that. There were some borderline references but maybe I was just expecting more.
